Cambodia Gambling Dens

There is a fascinating background to the Cambodia gambling halls that reside just across the dividing line from neighboring Thailand, in which gambling hall betting is banned. Eight casinos are situated in a generally small area in the municipality of Poipet in Cambodia. This group of Cambodia gambling halls is in an excellent destination, a three to four hour travel from Bangkok and Macao, the two largest gaming locations in Asia. Cambodia gambling dens do a huge business with Thai laborers and guests from Malaysia, Japan, South Korea, and Singapore, with only very few Westerners. The phenomenal income accrued from the gambling dens ranges from $7.5 million to over 12.5 million dollars, and there are a couple of limitations constraints for gambling den ownership. Ownership is required to be mostly Thai; still, investment sources are vague. The borders are officially open from 09:00 to 5:00 p.m., and despite the fact visas are allegedly needed to pass, there are means around this, as is real of most border crossings.
The original Cambodia casinos opened in Phnom Penh in 1994, but were required to close in the late nineties, leaving just 1 gambling den in the capital, the Naga Resort. The Naga, a moored boat casino, features one hundred and fifty slot machines and sixty tables. The Naga gambling den is open 24 hours with 42 tables of mini-punto banco, four tables of chemin de fer, 10 of roulette, 2 of Caribbean Stud Poker, and a single table each of Pai-Gow and Tai-Sai.
The original casino in Poipet, the Holiday Palace, opened in the late nineties and the Golden Crown quickly followed. There are 150 slot machine games and five table games at the Golden Crown and 104 slots and sixty eight table games at the Holiday Palace. The latest Holiday Palace Casino and Resort contains 300 slot machines and seventy table games and the Princess Hotel and Casino, also in Poipet, has one hundred and sixty six slot machines and 96 gaming tables, including 87 punto banco (the most popular game), Fan Tan, and Pai Gow. Additionally, there is the Casino Tropicana, with 135 one armed bandits and sixty six of the normal tables, as well as 1 table of Casino Stud Poker. Another one of the eight gambling dens in Poipet, also in a hotel, is the Princess Casino with one hundred and sixty six slot machine games and 97 table games. The Star Vegas Casino is part of a multinational vacation and hotel compound that highlights many amenities aside from the casino, which has 10,000 sq.ft. of one hundred and thirty one armed bandits and 88 tables.
