Learning From My Wagering Errors

First to explain why I write this article. I have been wagering online or at land based casinos for many years. I have learned, the addiction can take a hold of you and you will not even notice it until you are bankrupt. Especially if you are on a winning streak. I have gone through many tens of thousands of dollars in only a tiny period of time and to this day on occasion, I will go too far. It seems you’re just having a blast until you decide to track your loss and the guilt settles in, and then you continue to tell yourself "I can get it back" constantly. It doesn’t works. Then you become sick in your stomach and the more you try the quicker you are deprived.

When you notice that you are up, STAY on the UP! When you start to be beaten, don’t say to yourself, "well just maybe just one more" and over and over again, trust me, this method RARELY ever operates. Say you’re betting on slots, have an amount set aside prior to starting your play. DO NOT go over that boundary, regardless how tempting. If you happen to succeed, put that in a separate canister. Do not use your profits no matter what. Once you have gambled through your primary set limit, stop. Head out, regardless if it’s online or at a physical casino, do not stay around. Always remember, there is going to be a different day, another time.

Always remember, wagering should be FUN not backbreaking, sickening work! If you are not enjoying yourself, you don’t belong there. If youcan’t afford the cost, don’t even start.
