Cambodia Gambling Halls

There is a fascinating story to the Cambodia casinos that sit just across the dividing line from neighboring Thailand, in which casino gaming is banned. Eight gambling halls are based in a generally tiny area in the municipality of Poipet in Cambodia. This collection of Cambodia gambling dens is in an excellent spot, a three to four hour drive from Bangkok and Macao, the 2 most popular betting centers in Asia. Cambodia gambling dens do a thriving business with Thai blue-collar workers and tourists from Malaysia, Japan, South Korea, and Singapore, with just a couple of Westerners. The phenomenal capital gained from the gambling halls ranges from $7.5 million to over 12.5 million, and there are a couple of restrictions constraints for gambling hall ownership. Ownership is assumed to be mostly Thai; however, funding sources are vague. The borders are officially open from 9:00 a.m. to 17:00, and despite the fact visas are apparently necessary to cross, there are methods and means around this, as is correct of most border crossings.

The initial Cambodia gambling dens premiered in Phnom Penh in the mid nineties, but were required to close in the late nineties, leaving only a single casino in the capital, the Naga Resort. The Naga, a docked boat gambling den, highlights one hundred and fifty one armed bandits and sixty tables. The Naga gambling hall is open all day and night with forty two tables of mini-baccarat chemin de fer, 4 tables of vingt-et-un, ten of roulette, two of Caribbean Stud Poker, and one each of Pai-Gow and Tai-Sai.

The initial casino in Poipet, the Holiday Palace, premiered in 1999 and the Golden Crown before long opened. A total of 150 slot machines and five table games at the Golden Crown and one hundred and four slot machines and sixty eight gaming tables at the Holiday Palace. The newest Holiday Palace Casino and Resort contains 300 one armed bandits and 70 table games and the Princess Hotel and Casino, also in Poipet, has 166 slot machines and ninety six gaming tables, including eighty seven punto banco (the most beloved game), Fan Tan, and Pai Gow. Also, there is the Casino Tropicana, with one hundred and thirty five slot machines and 66 of the common gaming tables, as well as a single table of Casino Stud Poker. One more of the 8 gambling dens in Poipet, again in a hotel, is the Princess Casino with 166 slot machine games and ninety seven games. The Star Vegas Casino is is located in an all-inclusive resort and hotel compound that highlights numerous comforts in addition to the gambling den, which has ten thousand sq.ft. of 130 slot machines and eighty eight gaming tables.
